Everything was black, and there was a faint ringing in his ears as Pip Lebeau lay in silence. And slowly but surely he heard something over the ringing, someone was calling his name. “Pip! Pip are you there?!” The ringing got louder and his head hurt, the pain forcing his eyes open. He saw red, red was everywhere – for a seven year old boy to say this was frighting, was an understatement. Looking up he saw who was calling his name, his mother who was trying to push down on the chest of a body Pip didn't recognize. He felt tears run down his cheeks as he began to cry, trying to get to his feet he stumbled forward to run to his mother, and just like that a round flew forward and went straight through his mothers head. Pip stood in horror as the life was sucked out of his parents – unable to do anything but cry, and cry, and cry. Eventually he tried to step forward and touch his mothers corpse but was interrupted when more rounds started to come his way.
The Seeker swarms had failed on all but a small group of soldiers and civilians hold out in a remote area on the colony world, the Collectors decided that since they could not be captured, they would be killed. The Collector Drone advanced on the boy and prepared to kill him when its head exploded in a large amount of viscera and gore. And Pip spun around to see a man crouched behind a barricade with a sniper rifle in hand, he yelled at the boy to run and so he did. He ran harder than he ever did in his life, coming to the man who grabbed his arm and then began to run with them from the Collectors behind them, a three round burst caught Pip in the arm and he surely would have died if the man had not kept pulling him along. Coming to a group of soldiers barricaded in a circle around a M35 Mako the door dropped and the man ushered Pip inside, telling the driver he had all the civilians and they were clear to go, Pip looked at the man one more time – as if memorizing his face before the door shut and the Mako roared out of the area. As the Mako traversed the quiet roads heard it, like a fog horn – a Collector rose from the ground and started to fire at the Mako, missing just barely as they made it to their destination. A secret panic bunker deep in the ground of the colony world.
Arriving there it deposited its passengers, troopers ushered them inside quickly and closed the blast doors. Once inside, medics inspected each of the passengers – it was then that Pip, coming out of his haze of adrenaline and fear realized something - he could not feel his left arm. One of the medics came over to him, quickly calling others they asked him how he felt, Pip responded he felt a little sick and that he couldn't feel his left arm. The medics seem surprised by something, then asked the boy if he had anyone with him – Pip, in denial, told them that his parents were in another bunker and it was just him. The medics nodded and then told him to lay down as they needed to check something, Pip was a little weary but he complied, then he felt something prick his neck and everything went black again.
Pip woke up to a dull white around him, he still couldn't feel his right arm but he looked around to see an EKG hooked to him and a soft beeping coming from it. There was an IV bag next to him, although it was empty like it had already been used. Wondering why he couldn't feel his left arm he looked down to see . . . nothing. His left arm was gone, completely. Because Pip was still under the effects of the drugs he did not freak out, instead he called for a doctor in a sleepy voice, one came to his beside and explained that his arm was horribly damaged and they had to remove it. He was also informed that the aliens were gone, although Pip did not know what the aliens were the doctor said they were something called Collectors and not much else was known about them, and Pip understood that much. The doctor stood and left Pip alone to the quite beeping, it was here were everything came rushing back to him, the death of his parents, the Collectors, and the pain. He cried for longer than he cared to remember, crying himself to sleep that night only to be faced with the start of what would become his “Night Terrors”. A few of the soldiers in the bunker told Pip that the doors would stay closed for a few more weeks so he might want to get comfortable. It was in this time that Pip met his future adoptive father, the Master Sergeant in-charge of the bunker.
Forwarding in the young mans life, Pip, now 24 with a cybernetic right arm, cleared psychologically (As long as he took medication for his PTSD) for enrollment in one of the newly established military schools built to train soldiers for events such as the one that occurred, his Adoptive father had been selected as the new director of the school and had gotten Pip through the necessary steps to enroll. He was first asked what he wished to specialize in, examples being naval officer, mechanized crewman, front line assault, etc. He was also told that whatever he chose to be specialized in, he would test on to see if he was actually right for the position he wished. Pip, after thinking about it for quite some time decided on Close Quarters Combat, and to test his ability he was run through a serious of obstacle courses and training to test if he could make the cut. He did, and was accepted into the CQB class – his training was brutal in a sense, he was taught hand-to-hand combat in case he were to ever enter a room and his gun was taken from him or did not function. He learned the ins and outs of the Sokolov X combat shotgun for use in breaching and various other situations. His first time on the course was 2:31.2 seconds, by the time he had completed his first year of training he could run the course in 30 seconds flat.
After another year of training his graduation day was ready. His adoptive father entered the room with tears in his eyes and embraced him. He told Pip how proud he was of him, and how he was the son that he never could have. He symbolically buttoned up the last few buttons of Pips dress uniform and sent him out to the stage. Pip followed in the rest of his class to the stage, each one of them were presented with their designations as CQB Specialists and their diplomas. Then his father came onto stage and shook every one of their hands, congratulating all of them. After the ceremony they all returned to their bunks and packed up their things, as the assignments were being handed out and Pip was to be sent to a spaceship for active duty. His father greeted him at the landing platform and gave him one last hug before he stepped out onto the platform and entered the shuttle which would take him to his new life.
His tour of duty would take him through many colonies and cities, his favorite by far was the citadel as it just seemed like a very lively place and by far had the most interesting people. His comrades called him the “Rabbit” a name given to most door kickers because they went in first and more often than naught, got their fair share of bullets. He was shot quite a few times but the body armor he wore did its work just fine, in fact he prides himself in the number of times he could have been killed but the armor protected him, leading to a practice of putting tallies for every time he could have died. His current number of tallies is 72. Pip also fought in the battle for earth against the reapers where he lost his left arm again and had it replaced with a better augmentation. After which he was re stationed to another spaceship, ready to fight again.
Currently, Pip is undergoing his N6 training - active duty throughout the galaxy. He has had some spectacular failures in doing such and hence is why he seems to be indefinitely in N6. His fuck ups range from loosing valuable data in a mission, to blowing up an reentry craft, to accidentally shooting a enemy with a bomb vest who they were trying to negotiate with. Personally, he is mostly fine with being forever N6 - although it gets on his nerves from time to time.

- Sgt. Raik Arglack:
- Hes still one of my best friends, Alex bit the dust and I lost my leg. That jammy bastard always takes thing to hard but I suppose because he feels like we are his little brothers or something and that he needs to protect us. I don't blame him, he goes through a lot of shit and honestly I expected to go before Alex - I guess its just how the world works.
- Pvt. Kalin Kassel:
- A friendly Asari, or as I call them, blueberry's. When I was a cripple for a few days, she got me in a room with a bunch of strippers and I got a lap dance from one, also gave me a burger when I was having the hangover of the century which managed to help it. Otherwise shes got a cool accent and seems like a good person.
- Dr. Martin O'Donnell:
- One of the first people I met when I entered the force, of course I met him by a dare to slap his ass and run like a madman. I joke about it all the time, along with the fact that he used to be a strip-- he calls it "Dancer" but its honestly the same thing. Anyhow, I'd trust him with my life as long as he doesn't decide to start stripping over my body.
- Memi'maanar:
- Well, this Quarian is a bit of a train wreck. Caught in some love triangle with a British PFC. Shes got a few problems with her relationship with involved me sitting on the other side of a plate glass door after her friends told me to go there to watch her - dunno really, she seems decent but I dunno yet, since her overprotective boyfriend doesn't like people getting too close.
UPDATED: She's alright now I suppose, Alex bit the dust and its hard to tell if she has gotten better or worse worse? I have no fucking clue but I still don't talk to her much.
- Alexander Thompson:
- See you round, space fuckboy . .
- Sgt. Artacus:
- He left, can't really blame him.
- Lt. Himmler Rommel Goring Melange Hitler Shultz (AKA The Nazi):
- This guy is another one of those serious guys. Although he has his moments when he started to spew profanities in his German accent and sound like he just stepped off the battlefields of WW2. Either way hes also a good CO and a real interesting guy.
- Commanderino:
- The Commander is a real good person, cares about his crew and has a damn good sense of humor. I'm as glad that he has my back that I have his back.
- Luma'Valla:
- Shes gone, after long lasts.
- Lt. Diocletianus Villius:
- I like and dislike this dude at the same time, he used to be cool and now he is so tight-assed I doubt that you could get an atom between those clenched cheeks. On the other hand, hes a trustworthy guy and seems to care for everyone..
- Midgard:
- A Varren, literally my best friend.
- Luminda:
- Shes french and Arglack's girlfriend. And while I do not understand the intricacies of a Krogan-Human relationship, nor do I fucking want to - she seems decent. I've yet to really get to know her and I suppose I should sometime when I can spare it. And I swear to god ever since I came on this ship the number of french people has been steadily rising, I am the harbinger of Space-France.
- Layna:
- More Asari?! Man, this ship keeps getting better and better. My own xenophiliac interests aside shes our psyche doctor, a pretty good one at that in my opinion anyway. She likes my nicknames for Asari so I've taken to calling her "Blue". I've had a couple of sessions with her and though I doubt any progress can be made, she still has hope. Additionally, I crashed at her apartment on shore leave and made her some blueberry pancakes and called it cannibalism.
- Tiber:
- New Turian, used to be a bartender. Good guy, hope to see more of em' and that he turns out decent. After all, bartenders a cool people.
- Praasi:
- I don't know who the fuck this is.
- Alcae:
- A Turian doctor, this nice lady first took notes when I had my littler run-in with that space-fish. As of late she helped make my augmentations feel a lot less like shit and even gave me feeling in them again. I'm really fuckin' grateful for that, other than that I think I saw her checking me out a couple of times . . hm.
