Two Paragraph Backstory:

Aida Maurya is a rather headstrong, brash, and violently independent Communications Officer with the Alliance. Serving on many other ships before her assignment to the SSV London SR-1, Aida is fairly dedicated to her job, when she doesn't get distracted by literally everything and anything. Curious to a fault, she has a terrible habit of asking the worst questions at the wrong times and demanding a breakdown of nearly everything. Squicked out by most violence she prefers to remain the hothead pacifist, content to working at her console and hoarding away all of the green tea. A semi-religious woman following her parent's religion of Hinduism, Aida values her Indian heritage quite a bit... Except when she makes wisecracks about tech support. Sensitive, though, she doesn't have very tough skin and tends to crack when under too much pressure without crewmates there to help. Married young at 18, she recently filed for divorce when the Reaper war began, seeing as her husband wished to flee with her to the colonies, and Aida wanted to remain with the Alliance to fight in the Reaper War. Now slowly up to her neck in legaleese, it's a little overwhelming-- And the taskforce is a very welcome distraction.
