Why do you want to roleplay a character of said species? :  Because, Asari are pretty dope.

How familiar are you with it? : Very familiar

Why do you want to roleplay within said MOS? : Sounds fun, and I believe I am competent enough for the position.

How OOCly familiar are you with the topic? (Ex. Combat Medic - OOC Knowledge of Medical Procedures) : Fairly familiar. Enough to adequately provide good roleplay through the IC duties.

Two Paragraph Backstory - Five to Seven Sentences per Paragraph.

Nisyx M'loqua was born on Thessia in the year 1966. Born the second of three daughters of a well-respected military officer, Nisyx and her siblings were always encouraged and to a point expected to follow in the path of their mother. Although held to a standard to join Thessia’s military early in life, Nisyx and her siblings maintained a fairly normal and healthy childhood similar to most Asari in their well-off economic position.

Nisyx, whom like many of her kind, was a relatively strong biotic, and as such the first few decades of her life were primarily focused on both academic studies and honing her skills as a biotic. This was something that her eldest and youngest sisters did not have much care to do, as they seemed to be of the more artistic and creative type, despite their upbringing and the personality of their mother. They themselves were fairly feminine in comparison to Nisyx, whom was more masculine and studious in comparison.

It wasn’t until her early 40’s that Nisyx finally decide she was competent enough in both her biotics are herself in general to pursue a career in the Thessian military. As expected from someone as studious and devoted as Nisyx was, she was able to more than meet both the physical and biotic requirements of the Thessian military, and as such trained in such for a lengthy period of time. Relatively shortly into her training, Nisyx developed a keen interest machinery and the inner workings of machinery. Due to her fascination, and her want to actively become knowledgeable about anything she is passionate about, Nisyx quickly secured herself a position in the Thessian engineering division. By the age of sixty Nisyx was a functional Asari Sentinel in the Thessian military.
For the next century or so, Nisyx continued honing her abilities as she maintained a position in the Thessian military as a biotic sentinel. Due to her expertise as well as her studious work ethic, Nisyx was eventually given a position of small power in the Thessian military at the age of 137, the equivalent of a Sergeant in the Thessian military. Nisyx maintained this position for a lengthy period of time until eventually receiving ground control of her engineering unit at the age of 217.

Nisyx remained in control of field operations with her unit for the next few years, that is until the Reaper Invasion begun in 2186 soon after Nisyx turned 220. The next few months Nisyx and her unit were sent with larger outfits of the Thessian military to protect colonies surrounding Thessia, and eventually Thessia itself during the reaper attacks.

Although the crucible was successful and the reaper threat neutralized, most of Nisyx’s unit had suffered heavy casualties and as a result was disbanded with the remaining members transferred to other Thessian units or outright discharged entirely. During this time Nisyx was offered a position on an ongoing Council Taskforce due to her expertise and also due to the fact that she was displaced and without a unit at the current time. She accepted this offer, curious to see how the taskforce itself operated.

I see no issues with this application. There aren't any really active Asari either. Consider this ~accepted.~
