Bructia Krok’medah was born in the year 2147 on the Omega station. Bructia, like many unfortunate children on Omega, was orphaned at a very young age, and as such, has no recollection of whom her parents are or from where they hailed. Her childhood was that of anguish and hardship, requiring her to be botch deceitful and ruthless in order to require basic necessities such and food and drink, or a place to sleep. This lifestyle continued on into her late teens, and quickly forged her into a street smart individual capable of handling herself in any situation presented to her.

Late into Bructia’s teens, her nineteenth year to be exact, the Private Military Firm Elanus Risk Control Services, referred to as most as the ERCS, held a small recruiting campaign on Omega. This was not an uncommon practice by the Firm, however very few were selected due to the requirements, which consisted primarily of generally good health, a stable state of mind, and a willingness to follow orders. Although somewhat hesitant to throw her hand into the recruitment process, Bructia pushed herself continue forward, wishing to remove herself from the cesspool that was Omega in an attempt to forge a better, less destructive life. By the end of this particular recruitment campaign, around three-dozen of those who entered were selected, with Bructia being among them.

For the next nearly two decades Bructia worked as a soldier for the ERCS firm, happy and content as a career mercenary. During those years, Bructia earned herself a fairly good reputation among the company, and became fairly well respected in her field.

It was during the Reaper Invasion of 2186 that Bructia found herself working directly with the Alliance for the first time in her career. The Alliance had called upon any and all willing Private Military Firms and Corporations, or any whom worked for them to lend aid. Bructia decided to answer this call, and willingly aided in the defense of Earth, although this proved fruitless, as the Alliance was forced to abandon their positions.
She aided in various engagements during the proceeding weeks, and was labeled as a friend of the Alliance for her efforts. Shortly thereafter, due to her willingness to help selflessly, she was offered a soldier’s position on the task force as an Alliance-contracted mercenary.

I like this a lot, just make sure you realize the weight of having a mercenary character, it is shifty in command and its expected to follow CO's NCO's and FO's just like everyone else, refer to the rank structuring radio etiquette and so-on for ruling, but accepted. A nod to Snips for helping a community member when he didn't have to.
