There and Back Again: A Meme's Tale (Rouge and Pinkie's Joint App) 3cwJVDZ

[Name]: William Hall.
[Age]: 37.
[Species]: Human.
[Talents]: Melee, Unarmed, Perception, Strength.
[Weaknesses]: Barter, Small Guns, Energy Weapons, Explosives, Repair, Science, Speech, Charisma.
[Equipment]: Semi-Functional SKS, Reinforced Brass Knuckles, Combat Knife, Garrote Wire, Moderate Leather Armour with a Large Leather Duster, Thick Hobnailed Leather Boots.

[Backstory]: William grew up in a small town located in the area of the Wasteland once known as Michigan, he had a relatively calm childhood until age six, when his family was forced to move out of town due to some ill-remembered dispute his father had with the mayor of thew town. Exiled to the road, Williams family suffered, with in a few months his sister and only sibling died from a particularly virulent sickness, which William's mother soon contracted thereafter. As his mother's condition worsened, William's father sought out a caravan and offered his and his son's services in exchange for medical care for his wife, but as the days went on and through the care she was given, William's mother died less than a week later. Distraught over the death of his wife, William's father threw himself into being a caravan guard, trying to support his last remaining family member. After a few months during which time William learned many things from the people in the caravan, William's father was killed whilst defending the caravan against a rogue Deathclaw. With no family left alive to him, William attached himself to the caravan in any way he could, going from errand boy to scout. As he continued his life in the caravan, William picked up several skills from the different tasks he was assigned to the and people he had to deal with, being quite a large kid he always had a knack for getting in close and beating things up, be it with his fists or something else. Along the way he learned how fire a rifle and stay alert, though he rarely managed to ever hit exactly what he wanted to with any gun. Six years later a group of guards decided to leave and sell their services for more involved jobs, William went with having proven himself time and again to be quite reliable despite his youth.

William stayed in his original group of mercenaries for four years, leaving after he decided to join up with a better, if smaller, party. Moving slowly over the years towards the South-East William moved from group to group for another nine years, over the years he had jumped from group to group for another nine years, over the years he had jumped from group to group, the separate gangs getting more and more violent as they went finally leading William to join up with a gang of raiders. By this time William had grown incredibly proficient in close quarters combat and had ended up losing the pinkie from his left hand, earning him the nickname The Bloody Nine, during his stint as a raider, William looted and killed as he had always done. It was not until his ninth month of raiding, when his gang stopped by The Pitt, that William realized how far he had fallen, it wasn't until he saw the true depravity of a raider made manifest in the visage of Bloody Mary, a crazed woman he had the misfortune to encounter in The Pitt. It was after this encounter that William resolved to leave his gang of raiders and strike out alone, waiting for a few more weeks, after which his gang had moved past The Pitt and had started roaming again. Taking all that was his and leaving his gang in the middle of the night, sneaking past the lookout and walking out into the wasteland, he trudged onward until he couldn't go any farther, collapsing into a center of some town he didn't even notice until he woke up a couple of days later, having been tended to by the town doctor. In exchange for his care, William offered his services as a 'Problem-solver" and thus started his newfound duty as a travelling solo mercenary, working most exclusively for small settlements and travelling wasters, keeping himself away from caravans and other mercenary groups. William continued this style of work and travel for eight years, finding himself in Georgia, William came across Jesse Cross, a traveling scavenger of supposedly great renown. Striking a friendship that he had never come across before, William broke his habit of travelling alone to stay with his new companion, and has been irritating his friend for three full years all through east coast, presently roaming about Maryland having heard tell of new opportunities to exploit.

Age: 56
-Species/Human or Robotic: Human

-Character Advantages/Talents: As an aged wastelander operating independently for 43 years, Jesse sports an
almost unrivaled experience of the wasteland itself. Jurryrigging repairs, animal tracking, basic mechanics,
firearms use, untrained dirty hand to hand combat, knowledge of wasteland flora, and a particularly keen
awareness of things around her are all talents Jesse has acquired in her travels. She's also famed for her
internal library of wasteland folk songs and her talent with an acoustic guitar.

-Character Disadvantages/Weaknesses: With age comes deterioration, especially in the wasteland. Jesse is not
as young as she use to be, and now is plagued by physical frailty, relatively poor eyesight, and fast fatigue.

-Faction: Settler

Music:

The folklore legend of the Wasteland Jesse Cross began her life as a pauper born in Diamond City within Fenway
Park, Boston. Born to a drifter and mechanic, Jesse grew up never knowing her mother, whom had only agreed to
stay until her birth. Instead, she was raised solely by her father, Joshua Cross, whom later found work with
the rapidly growing Minutemen group. As such, a young Jesse spent her time split between the Minutemen's
fortress of the Castle and Diamond City, although a considerably longer amount of time was spent in the
latter. Growing up, it had seemed destined for Jesse to join with the Minutemen as her father had, however
this changed with the rather sudden death of her father whilst she was aged 11. Unwilling to actually raise a
child themselves, the Minutemen placed a young Jesse in the Diamond City Orphanage, a place which she did not
take well to. Feeling abandoned, Jesse left the orphanage after only two weeks of being there to become a
street urchin within Diamond City. This progressed for another two years until the dissatisfaction of this
life as well drove her beyond the walls of the Great Green Jewel and into the wasteland alone. Out here, the
then 13 year old child took up the same occupation which she follows today, and the same one which would drive
her to walk across the entire US, twice; junk trading and scavenging.

The Commonwealth was far safer in these times due to in no small part the high concentration of minutemen in
the area, particularly around Boston. Owing her life to the Minutemen on several occasions, Jesse survived on
her local salvage until the age of 17, when she again, grew tired of her surroundings. Driven by a desire to
travel and see new things, Jesse began traveling south, starting herself on a never ending road across the US.
Traveling majorly on her own or at times with companions or in a caravan, Jesse spent the next seven years
traveling up and down the majority of the east coast, visiting nearly every major city and settlement in the
region from Miami Florida in the south to Portland Maine in the north and just about everywhere inbetween.
Because of this, she eventually became particularly well known in her most frequented areas, being the
Commonwealth and the Capital Wasteland. By the time she was 24 she had been featured on many radio stations
within these areas such as Diamond City Radio, Back Wave Radio, and the Channel Hamil. Eventually she would
begin to make her way west in a two year trip across the relatively empty center US, hitting major locations
along the way, and traveling with caravans, passing along the southern states and through Texas.

Reaching Arizona at the age of 26, Jesse foundtraveling through the lands east of the Colorado River proved
particularly difficult as the lands there and in the Mojave desert were overwhelmingly populated by primarily
primitive tribals only half of which were willing to trade rather than attack. Crossing the Colorado river at
Hoover Dam, Jesse made stops at minor settlements south of the city of Las Vegas before making way to Vegas
itself. Vegas at this time was a wild place inhabited entirely by tribals and gangs, few of which could be
used to make trade. Despite this, the high concentration of people within the Mojave Wasteland saw Jesse take
up relative residency in the area for another three years, becoming particularly close friends with a tribe
within Las Vegas who would go on to be known as the Kings almost seventy years later. From here Jesse would
begin to systematically repeat the process she had done on the east coast, trading up and down the west coast.
In difference however, here there was law and the New California Republic. With a caravaning permit, Jesse
would trade across the former states of California, Nevada, Oregon, and Washington for eight more years,
making the NCR cities of the Hub and Shady Sands her primary stops. Other places she is known to have visited
include the Boneyard, Junktown, San Francisco, New Reno, Vault City, Necropolis, Arroyo, and Seattle, even
going as far to, although rarely, trade with the Brotherhood of Steel in the area, whom paid well for high
value technologies. Eventually, aged 37, Jesse began to make a return trip to the east coast, this time along
the northern states, having become infamous as a traveler in the west as well.

Traveling the north was much like the south; empty, although far colder and much more mountainous. Along the
three year return trip, Jesse spent time in various major locations in the area such as Minneapolis, Chicago,
and Detroit, returning to the Commonwealth aged 40. She was hailed as something of a legend upon returning to
Boston and Diamond City, telling countless tales of the lands beyond the Commonwealth and beyond the entire
eastern coast. This was the first time many easterners had heard of such things as the Brotherhood of Steel,
The New California Republic, and even of cities which hold more than a thousand people. Despite many claiming
her as a hoax, and some even claiming that she had been killed and replaced by a synth, she continued to
garner infamy in tales of the wasteland as the woman who had walked across it twice. The next fifteen years
would be spent slowing down, but still in travel, up and down the east coast and sometimes just a little to
the west. Eventually life settled down in the Capital Wasteland with a husband, and eventually a daughter.
This daughter became a still birth, and her father a slave to the Pitt, reigniting the restless spirit within
Jesse to begin traveling again. Aged 53, she had come across a new companion near Atlanta in Georgia named
William. William, a former raider trying to leave a bloody past behind, became almost an essential asset to
the aging traveler, and became one of her longest lasting companions and friends, still with her three years
later. Each owing their lives to each other over numerous occasions, Jesse and William would go on to travel
the east coast together for another 3 years until 2241. Currently, the pair are making rounds about Maryland,
and near the new settlement of Edgewater.

I can dig this. I always like to see newcomers. Having already gone over Pinkie's inventory with him and given my approval for a trader, I'll sign it.
