Backstory:
Voai was born in a population center of one of the Asari Republics of Thessia to a fairly average Asari family leading a fairly average life. As the second child of the family, her mothers were both still well and truly in their Matron stages with centuries left until their Matriarch stages. Despite the family being very religion-orientated in all their endeavors, Voai made the outlandish decision to select a martial education at a young age as is Asari tradition; she was always very practical and had an affinity for biotics and in turn sought a practical application for said affinity - in particular, she was inspired by the Asari Commandos. Her education, across a period of decades, taught her what she would need to know to become an agile Asari Huntress.

Voai went on to participate in a number of skirmishes, battles and operations on behalf of the Asari Republics and the Council as seen fit and became an influential soldier with her military unit. She received particular distinction alongside her commander fighting Vorcha mercenaries looking to enslave Asari colonies in the Terminus systems; at this point the second-in-command of her Company, her and her commander executed a bold set of military maneuvers across a period of 3 months involving concurrent guerilla attacks (as is standard in the Asari Military) to deny the enemy the ability to reach the colony in question as opposed to a traditional defense - which would have most likely resulted in defeat considering the enemy gravely outnumbering the Asari Company and the enemies increased familiarity with conventional warfare. The Vorcha mercenaries eventually attempted to pull out of the Terminus Systems in search of greener pastures as the Vorcha's employers had run out of credits to pay them with. Once the mercenary spacecraft were airborne, a series of preplanted explosive charges were detonated and the ships came crashing back down. The Vorcha who weren't killed in the explosions or the impact were either captured or in a few cases, killed by the Asari Company. The survivors were taken to answer for their crimes on the planet, where their employer was found and a potential interfaction conflict avoided.

Following her distinction fighting in defense of the Asari Colonies in the Terminus Systems, Voai went on to be selected for and promptly join the ranks of the Asari Commandos, the very unit that had aspired her to choose a martial lifestyle. After completing her training and participating in a series of more sensitive and timely conflicts across the galaxy, namely in the Eden Prime War. Seeking to further progress her career, she now aspires to be selected to become a Spectre and nearly entirely dedicates herself to this pursuit.
