Name: Danilla Ostmann
Age: Born Jan. 30th 2148, 38 years of age as of the current date.
Species: Human, or Homo Sapiens Sapiens.
MOS (Military Occupational Specialty): Systems Alliance 0317 - Scout Sniper.
You do understand as this is a private server and you have filled out a Application you can be removed from the Server or have your Character taken away within reason at any moment: Yeah, it's clear.

Two Paragraph Backstory(For Returning players it is only one Paragraph), Five to Seven Sentences per Paragraph: (Just one/two? You're killing me here. Also, if there are inconsistencies at the end - blame the person who told me what was going on and all.)

Ostmann's origins point to the Lapland province within Finland. Born on the 30th of January circa 2148 in the town of Kemijärvi. Even in times like these, the most remote and coldest parts of Finland were rather isolated from the rest of the world, or so it felt. But despite this, his family in particular was always rather punctual with their news - especially by the time a year'd passed. He'd have already had roughly two family members within the newly drafted Systems Alliance, both an Uncle and one of his older Cousins - and Ostmann's family would of readily heard back from them often, coming to terms with the newest events on the front of Humanities' development. These were exciting times for Humanity, and his parents were ever-keen to hear what they would have to say for themselves.

Their fascination with the progress of Humanity on those unexplored frontiers tied into Danilla's development. Throughout most of his upbringing, he was told that he would one day 'get to see what was out there'. However, his parents understood that if he was to have a future as such, he'd need to at least be ready on the part. He was made to be punctual with his effort within the schools, and he was taught to be responsible in nature. They would never shy away from finding menial work for young Ostmann to do if they could help it, trying their best to tailor him the way they wanted him to be. Dedicated and disciplined, but it'd come with the trade-off of making him rough around the edges on the front of his personality since only minute amounts of leisure were allotted to him.

When Danilla was six years old, the news from his relatives within the Alliance imparted a modicum of pressure onto the family. The length and breadth of the developments were utilized as leverage to try and get people to sign on. In just a few months time after the first quip suggesting enlistment came forth, Ostmann was left alone with his Father as his Mother departed Finland in the name of signing on - a decision that was premeditated on behalf of both individuals. It was easy enough for them, confident that young Danilla could've still been encouraged by his Father to do well on those numerous fronts they wanted. And this was the case for about three years, with the young child progressing steadily.

2157 hit Humanity hard with the First Contact War. In the engagements and cumulating events which would come to follow, the six hundred and twenty-three human lives lost would see both his Cousin and his Mother among them. A sacrifice which would steel Ostmann's upbringing, tailoring it further and shaping it into something that would see a job within the Alliance as the penultimate end goal. Despite being wracked with grief, his Father was persuaded by the Uncle to become adamant about this notion - that Humanity needed bolstering if it was to further defend itself. 'Who knows what's out there?'

2166. As intended, Ostmann found himself departing from the Lapland province so as to find a major city center. His goal was to sign onto the Alliance, an action which'd see him become placed as Infantry within the Alliance Navy's Marines following the normal bout of training which every Alliance individual had to slug through in their time. And throughout the following years, he found himself being placed throughout numerous fronts. Nine years into his service however, he was selected by the battalion for a candidate position for the secondary 'Scout Sniper MOS' after volunteering for such a position. At the time, he'd met the prerequisites - and he was there-in shipped off to a facility in order to undergo the 12 and a half week long course.

He'd come to emerge on the eve of 2176, where his service would resume with the usual premise of jumping around on various tours throughout the years, albeit now under the premise of a different platoon group. He'd informed his Father and now-retired Uncle, reprising the notion of his success once more. Within his time and the tours which'd come, he saw his fair share of uneventful moments of simply 'maintaining the peace', but there were those odd occasions where instances quickly boiled into harsh firefights, the likes of which he participated in with due response. He was no stranger to his role, and demonstrated such in the retaliatory attack on Torfan during the Skyllian Blitz.

The rough patches of his stern mannerisms were quickly buffed out in the company of those he'd come to know throughout his service, but would come to relapse ten years later when he, like many others, were returned to Earth. With the snap of a finger, all hell broke loose and those Alliance forces on his home-planet were reduced to simple skirmishes against their seemingly omnipotent occupiers in order to have any effect. He was separated from those he knew for a fair time, his sole focus simply shifting to the premise of both ensuring that he orchestrated his part in the effort to resist, and ensuring that he'd live to tell about it. To the present day, he's yet weary of the escalation of events - to neglect mentioning of how he remains in the dark over the state of his family. He'd find respite in knowing that the darkest hour of the entire galaxy'd come to pass. Despite the insistent nature of others egging him on to recuperate out of service, he was adamant in refusing. His work'd come to resume afterwards, Ostmann being greeted with documents detailing his transfer away from Earth and back onto a starship. To him, it was perhaps the most ideal place for him to get back into the groove after a spending so long in the turbulent conditions of Earth.
