Backstory:
Hyeon was born and raised on the alliance planet Babylon as the middle of three children in a proud and established upper class family, the Yi family, that boasts strict traditional Eastern Asian values and financial success in the planetary community. As the second-born son of the family he was expected to establish a successful career in a respectable field and raise a family to bear the Yi name whilst the oldest son inherited the family business "Babylon Burgers", a popular fast food chain on the planet.

Throughout his childhood, Hyeon was expected to meet the universal strict standards of the Yi family; he was required to excel academically, make significant contributions to a local sports team and have a significant presence at family and interfamily social events. Despite brief failures and dotted shortcomings, Hyeon was mostly successful in this endeavor: with the support of a prestigious private school, personal trainer sessions if he was ever short in his sport of choice gridiron and tutoring from his father regarding conduct at social events, he was nothing short of the stereotype of a successful rich kid when he graduated.

After graduating from high school, Hyeon went on to enroll in a one of the most prestigious universities on the planet where he studied business and economics, and went on to become a staff member to the Chief Financial Officer of Babylon Burgers with due help from his older brothers influence. During this time, Hyeon found a partner, married and fathered two children. He eventually left the business at 28 years of age to train at the Systems Alliance Leadership Academy on Earth, where he trained to become an officer in the Alliance Navy with the intention of later joining Intelligence.

Hyeon graduated from the academy at 32 years of age where he was interviewed by a panel of naval intelligence officers. After a second, more thorough background check and successful interviews, he was approved to train at the Alliance Intelligence Academy on one of Europa and approved to receive his negative vetting class 2 (top secret) clearance. At 34 years of age he graduated from the academy and went on to become an intelligence coordinator as a Lieutenant Junior Grade, where he directed intelligence assets to gather information in the field; a significant number of his operations involved gathering intelligence on the reaper threat to verify how legitimate it was. Not long prior to the Reaper invasion of Earth, Hyeon was promoted to Lieutenant and became an Intelligence Liaison Officer, where he received a positive vetting clearance due to the sensitive nature of a liaison officers work and would be stationed on board Alliance Navy vessels and work as a member of the Captain's staff as an advisory and representative of Naval Intelligence.

During the Reaper Invasion of the galaxy, Babylon was effected like many other planets. The planet was left on the cusp of ruin and many of the residents were left marked as 'Missing', most of which were dead. Most of Hyeon's family remain missing until this day with the exceptions of his older brother and his oldest daughter. Temporarily stepping up to a more senior position in the absence of another, Hyeon advised a flotilla on the intelligence situations and how to best combat the reapers statistically. At the conclusion of the war, Hyeon took a small holiday where he came to terms with the loss of his wife and son before he returned to the service as the Intelligence Liaison for the SSV London and Task Force Outlander by association.
