Backstory:
Tasok Azu was born along with the rest of his home planet of Sur'Kesh. From birth, he was destined to serve in the Salarian military, as was the rest of his hatch, besides the one female born, who, of course, would remain on Sur'Kesh to preform her respective duties. Tasok was schooled and taught for the first two years of his life until the annual holiday of Betau, where he joined the military academy to pay respect to his homeland. Once he was filed into the service, a Special Task Group was ordered to be created, and Tasok was immediately shipped off with twelve other Salarian soldiers. As he was previously trained to be a general purpose Sapper, the 17th STG took him in as the designated Explosives Specialist, who was tasked with sabotaging and disarming various objectives.
Tasok's first assignment was to investigate Geth activity beyond the Perseus Veil. The Council had no eyes into the Veil, and feared a possible Geth invasion. Tasok's ship took contact and was forced to retreat back into friendly space, not because of the Geth, but because of the news that the Alpha Relay was destroyed. His STG was redirected and deployed on Sur'Kesh until further notice.
It wasn't until the Alliance had convinced the Salarians to aid in Earth's defense that the 17th STG was called back into action. Along with the rest of the Salarian force assigned to protect Earth, Tasok was dropped into the heart of London to aid in it's defense. His STG preformed numerous guerrilla operations that sabotaged roads, bridges, and supply lines to prevent the Reaper advance as long as possible. Tasok was caught wounded in the last stages of the fight and was medivaced out of combat zone with hundreds of other Salarain casualties. He arrived on Sur'kesh and was relieved of duty until further notice, however, he still had some years left in his existence, and after seeing the work that could be done when the races worked together for once, he signed with the JTF in hopes of continuing his defense of the Galaxy.
