General Practitioner - I have more experience than I can recall doing medical RP within Garry's Mod as far back as PubGamer in 2007, with the most recent example probably being at Severance. I've led and written for medical divisions, done all sorts of odd-bits of medical RP such as virology and surgery, the works.

BACKSTORY:
Antino was born and raised within the confines of Vault 127 as the only child of his dominantly Italian mother Rubina and his dominantly Italian-Swedish father Santo Ragvaldsson; by rights, this makes Antino mostly Italian, although as is tradition he carried his fathers Swedish surname. The two met through their work, with Santo being a doctor and Rubina being a nurse, although Santo was no longer able to work when a freak accident resulted in damage to the ligaments in his left forearm; he since moved on to teaching medicine.

Throughout his early years, Antino aspired to take after his parents and become a doctor and before long it became something of an expectation on the grounds he was so into it, if nothing else. Come his adolesence, becoming a doctor wasn't "cool" to the hip youth of the Vault and aspiring to fit in, he briefly aspired to become an electrician instead. It took him only a year and a half to realize it simply wasn't him and he went back to focusing on medicine.

In the years leading up to the GOAT, Antino - with due credit to his parents - stepped up his studies in Medicine. It wasn't uncommon for him to follow his mother around in the Vault medical facilities to watch and pick up what he could and he spent a significant amount of his spare time in private mentoring with his father. By the time the GOAT came around Antino was feeling confident, and it was no surprise that he qualified to be the Vault Doctor.

After spending six years working alongside another doctor and learning his new craft formally, Antino become a certified MD and eventually took up the practice for himself. He enjoyed his work, although he couldn't help but wonder what it would be like working as something else - such as an electrician, or a security officer, or even as a chef. Given enough time to wander, Antino eventually found a new interest within medicine which he clutched onto; he didn't understand much about the wasteland but he did know that radiation had twisted life in ways not thought possible: how did it work, and what would it take to begin settings things as they were? Antino has since been petitioning to the Overseer to permit him to begin studies in liaison with the science department and in the meantime, has simply been working away at his practice.
