Roak is a male Krogan who was born in Tuchanka during the Genophage, which affected part of his emotional sense while he was still a fetus, and before all the disasters consequent of the Reaper War of 2186 CE. Fortunately, he was pretty good physically after all. He spent twenty-five years learning the culture of the history about the Krogans and the ancestors and prepared himself to go through different kind of rituals to determine which clan he would join to. After that, he finally joined the Raik clan because he liked the idea of being another member of the clan which represents Tuchanka's star, already knowing "Raik" is a source of the word "Aralakh".
As soon as he joined the Raik clan, he fought against different species which threat his planet many times for five years, before joining the SSV London. One of those species were the Reapers but that was not a priority, not at all.
His life wasn't a misery in Tuchanka, but he thought about the idea of flying around the galaxy and see what it was beyond the horizon. Finally, he decided to join the SSV London.
