Chloe was born on a largely agricultural colony, focused on exports rather than creating products on-planet. Being the third in a long line of daughters born to decently-off farmers, she wasn't very interesting in childhood, besides of course, exhibiting an affinity for applied sciences as she entered middle school, and high school. Being on the planet she was, with minimal industrial development, most of her job opportunities were agriculturally focused, and that wasn't how she was. After a couple years of repetition, she got that drive to leave her home-planet, and explore beyond to experience what was out there, so she did.

After a few years of living on Earth in relative comfort, she began to crave exploration again. Seeing the military as a way to escape the monotony of her life, and a place to meet new people and experience new things, she decided to enlist with it. While not necessarily experienced in combat, she believes that her eagerness to learn will lead her to new places and more opportunities while also learning a thing or two. Being the rather flexible person she is, she decided to pursue her MOS since it's the most basic of all of them to her and will perhaps open up opportunities for different specializations later on.
